After the best butter croissant in France and before the national competition for the best pain au chocolat, it's time for the Master du millefeuille. This competition dedicated to the best millefeuille in France was held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Salon Pâtiss'Art, organized at the CID in Deauville by the Confédération nationale de la boulangerie-pâtisserie française(National Confederation of French Bakers and Pastry Chefs).
This second edition of the National Millefeuille Master saw no fewer than six artisan bakers and pastry chefs compete for the prestigious first prize. To do so, the participants had to revisit this great classic of French pastry-making live in front of a demanding jury. The jury was chaired by Xavier Bordet and composed of Meilleurs Ouvriers de France and renowned personalities from the world of gastronomy, such as Mercotte. To decide between them, the jury members took into account the aesthetics of the millefeuille, as well as its taste and the technique of each candidate. This was an opportunity for theConfédération nationale de la boulangerie-pâtisserie française (NationalConfederation of French Bakers and Pastry Chefs) to highlight a little-known skill, that of the tourier, alongside the profession of baker.
So, who came out on top? Who won the first prize for the best millefeuille in France 2025? This year, the jury awarded the first prize to Florian Grech, a pastry chef who works at the " O Flo Gourmand " bakery in Chantilly in the Oise department.
The Master du Millefeuille also recognized an artisan from the Paris region,Mathieu Leveque. The pastry chef at La Parisiennewon the Taste Award. This is not the first time Mathieu Leveque has been recognized in a competition. The artisan baker and pastry chef from the Paris region has already won an award atthe 2025 ParisPastry Grand Prix with his 'Poire Feuilles Shiso'.
Congratulations to the winners and the six candidates for their participation in this Master du millefeuille 2025!
