A new Vietnamese restaurant is set to open in spring 2026 in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Named BẾP, it’s the project of Marie and Antoine Nguyen, alongside Émilien Quemener—the team behind Sobremesa.

Come spring 2026, a brand-new spot dedicated to family-style Vietnamese cuisine will open its doors in the Pigalle neighborhood, at 49 rue de Rochechouart. Named BẾP, this restaurant is the creative project of Marie Nguyen and Émilien Quemener, the duo behind Sobremesa in the 18th arrondissement. They will be joined for this venture by Antoine Nguyen, Marie’s brother.

The trio presents a project rooted in the sharing of culinary traditions and memories, drawing from their experience as children of third-generation Vietnamese families settled in France. For over thirty years, Marie and Antoine’s parents ran a Vietnamese restaurant in Paris.

Through BẾP, which means "kitchen" in Vietnamese, the founders aim to continue this cherished family legacy. Antoine Nguyen will lead the kitchen, dedicated to preserving these time-honored recipes handed down through the years and generations, balancing respect for traditional techniques with a modern culinary perspective.

The concept centers on a continuous connection between Vietnam and France, fostering a space designed for shared experiences at the table. The venue was envisioned by Guillaume Cappelletti in collaboration with Atelier Craft, with Geoffroy Bucaille responsible for the overall artistic direction.

Mark your calendars for spring 2026 to experience this eagerly awaited new restaurant!
