East Mamma, Big Mamma's authentic Italian cuisine

We've discovered a little piece of Italy in Paris, tucked away on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine. East Mamma is the first restaurant from Tigrane Seydoux and Victor Lugger, two Italian lovers who take us on a journey in the blink of an eye.

Chez East Mamma, we don't just eat pizzas or pasta; we soak up Italian culture and we savor this moment as if we were in Italy. It's a notable triumph for Tigrane Seydoux and Victor Lugger, two former HEC classmates who won Unibail's Idoine competition, pocketing €750,000 to bring this project to fruition.

Their concept, Big Mamma, showcases the finest Italian producers and their wares in unique dishes, rolled out across several Paris spots. If East Mamma is their first restaurant, the two partners are about to launch a new brand in one of Unibail-Rodamco’s shopping centers. The lineup? Cheeses and cured meats from around the world, elevated on shareable boards or in dishes that are simply irresistible.

We fell in love with an offering of Italian products to enjoy solo or with friends, featuring the freshly delivered Mozzarella di bufala DOP, shipped from Naples in two days, available in an individual portion for €7 or a braided version at €21 (500g to share among four), the creamy burrata to share for €11, the stracciatella (the burrata’s creaminess to be savored with a spoon) and even ricotta di buffala with honey for €7! Cheese lovers aren’t forgotten, with an offering of Parmesan DOP aged for 24 months, mortadella, bresaola, and the “del Fondatore” ham, considered the noblest of Italian hams. To our great pleasure, to satisfy the curious, East Mamma presents the two product categories (hams and cheeses) at €13.

Already blown away by this offer, we were left speechless by the pizzas, made in front of us by Italian pizzaiolos (some of whom barely speak French!), who light up the room with their joie de vivre. The pizzas and pastas at East Mamma showcase delicious Italian produce in generous portions at reasonable prices (around €13 for a dish). The two partners behind the concept explain: "Everything in the pizza
is Neapolitan: the pizzaiolo, the oven, the flour, the tomato, the mozzarella di bufala. [...] at the prices you’d find in trattorias deep in Italy.".

On the dessert side, the house tiramisu is here, along with panna cotta, rice pudding, and a Nutella-spread pizza priced at €8...

We could really use a little of that Italian sunshine.
