When will Paris-Plages open? Each year, when the sand arrives in Paris, Parisians and tourists suddenly feel like they are living in the tropics. In 2018, the artificial beaches will be open from July 7 to September 2 with many animations on the Voie Georges Pompidou, the Hôtel de Ville and the Bassin de la Villette, where a huge swimming-pool awaits us!

It's official, Bassin de la Villette is back for Paris Plages 2018! We will enjoy summer with 3 basins of different depths will be set within the Bassin de la Villette by the Quai de la Loire. Swim to relax or to work out, in a summery atmosphere. The pool will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for free… The basins opening is scheduled on June 16, 2018!
La Villa Extraordinaire
From June 28 to July 29, 2018, Montmartre welcomes a new living place: La Villa Extraordinaire [The Extraordinary Villa]. A playful and art place featuring a large garden offering an immersive exhibition with music by Polo & Pan and Agar Agar.
Driving through Paris aboard an old car
Do you know that you can visit Paris aboard an old car? It is a crazy experience called “Traversée de Paris en Anciennes” featuring over 700 old vehicles that happens twice a year. The next one is happening on Sunday July 22, 2018 and you shouldn’t miss it. Notice that this 28-km long trip across the French capital is organized by the association Vincennes en Anciennes and will end up by returning to Château de Vincennes and cars will be displayed.
Climb up the Tour Saint-Jacques
From June 1 to November 4, 2018, the mystic Tour Saint-Jacques, set within walking distance from Paris Hôtel de Ville, opens its doors to unveil its secrets. Last year guided tours welcomed over 5,000 visitors to discover this 54-m high tower of a medieval church featuring 300 steps.
The Fête des Loges 2018
For four centuries, the Fête des Loges has been pleasing many children and adults throughout summer! This festive encounter is back from Friday June 29 to Sunday August 19 (included) to make you enjoy over 200 attractions scattered across the wonderful setting of the Saint-Germain-en-Laye forest.

From June 30 to September 3, 2018, let’s run to Beaugrenelle in Paris 15th arrondissement, to discover the Foodographie exhibition by British photographer Martin Parr. A very gourmet exhibition, that doesn’t make us gain weight at all!
Margiela, the Hermès years
From March 22 to September 2, 2018, Paris Musée des Arts Déco will make you relive Hermès Margiela’s year (1997-2003) thanks to a wonderful exhibition! On the occasion, Martin Margiela, who ensures the exhibition artistic direction of the exhibition, selected 120 styles staged by Bob Verhelst.
Magiques Licornes, the exhibition at Paris Musée de Cluny
For its partial reopening, the Musée de Cluny dedicates an exhibition to the mythic and mystic animal using its famous collection of tapestries of The Lady and the Unicorn as a starting point. Entitled Magiques Licornes [Magic Unicorns] which will run from July 14, 2018 to February 25, 2019.
Palais de Tokyo dedicates its new Season, entitled Childhood, to several artists that remind us of our childhood memories and games, while thinking about the past that has an influence on “the building of our identities and their representations”. Game of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition
From June 1 to September 2, 2018, Paris Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles invites J.R.R. Martin’s universe fans to discover the new exhibition devoted to Game of Thrones, entitled The Touring Exhibition. A way to rediscover the series by HBO after the exhibition at the Carrousel du Louvre.
The Art of the Brick Lego, DC Super Heroes
DC Super Heroes and LEGO® fans, from April 29 to August 19, 2018, you have to go to La Villette for the extraordinary LEGO® exhibition with DC Super Heroes by Nathan Sawaya. This incredible exhibition displays DC Comics super heroes in 100% unique sculptures, LEGO® sculpture made by Nathan Sawaya: we already love it!
From April 14 to September 2, 2018, Paris Cité du Cinéma dedicates an exhibition around the movie Jurassic World and its extended universe. A visit into the bowels of the park, discovering the greatest moments of the movie and of course, dinosaurs.
Here’s the new digital experience you don’t want to miss! From May 15 to September 9, 2018, the TeamLab group turns the Grande Halle de la Villette into a unique visual lab. From June 12 to September 16, 2018, the Palace of the Versailles dedicates an exhibition to Jean Cotelle, King Louis XIV’s painter. Displayed at the Grand Trianon, it’s the beautiful opportunity to discover the work in situ of the one who has been entrusted with the decoration of the Grand Trianon by the king, as well as to enjoy the Grand Trianon flowery gardens.
The Atelier des Lumières
A new place to be discovered, the Atelier des Lumières is about to rock Paris 11th arrondissement with a Digital art center set in a former smelting plant from the 19th century.
