In the capital, renowned establishmentshave abandoned the classic shape to offer festive desserts that no longer resemble logs at all. Spectacular creations take the form of dancers, reindeer, giant kouglof cakes, and completely offbeat objects.
Gone are the days of simple snow-covered tree trunks. Today's artisans dare to create shapes that bear no resemblance to the original dessert, with hyper-realistic creations and trompe-l'oeil reproductions of objects. These pieces are nothing less than sweet sculptures!
Once again, Parisian pastry chefsprove that an original Yule log is first and foremost a question of form, transforming this originally very simple dessert into a real experience for both the eyes and the taste buds. The prices of these unusual creations generally vary between €45 and €90, depending on the size and complexity of the creation.
