It would seem that all the major street-food chains have got together to set up shop in Paris. After Popey's, Krispy Kreme and perhaps Wendy's in the near future, Bonchon has set up store in Paris, opening its first boutique in the heart of the Sentier district.
Bonchon will open its first restaurant at 240 rue Saint-Denis, Paris 2e, on Thursday March 9, 2023. For the record, Bonchon is the Korean fusion fried chicken chain that's already making a name for itself around the world. With over 400 establishments in 8 countries worldwide and more than 120 in the United States, the company is preparing to open 25 restaurants in France over the next 5 years.
The brand stands out for its authentic and unique flavors, which are achieved through quality ingredients, and here the meat will be 100% French. As a result, you'll be able to enjoy a gourmet, quality experience, and savor flavors similar to those of its founder Jinduk Seo's "hometown" , Busan. His ambition is to become a key player in the French market and to share his K-food and K-culture with the whole world.
" Our long-term goal is to open around 25 restaurants in France over the next five years. The Bonchon concept is one of the first Korean fast-food models to offer authentic Korean cuisine in a unique, relaxed setting. The 'made-to-order' concept guarantees the freshness and up-to-the-minute preparation of food," says Michel Abdelnour of Bonchon France.
In fact, Bonchon was voted"Best Chicken Wings" by Business Insider, beating out 5 major restaurant chains. The fast-food chain has also been named one of the "500 Best Restaurants" by Nation's Restaurant News in 2021, and one of the "Top 100 Movers & Shakers" by Fast Casual Magazine in 2021. In short, if you haven't been there before, you'll want to check it out.
At Bonchon, the different parts of the chicken- thighs, drumsticks, fillets and wings - are prepared to order. What do we love about them? The famous"Crunch out loud" breading, made by hand to give an extra-crispy texture.
In addition to chicken, the house also offers dishes to share, such as Korean dumplings, Bulgogi sliders, japchae (sweet potato vermicelli with beef and vegetables), pickled Korean radishes, kimchi (spicy fermented Napa cabbage) and generous mixed salads.
All at an affordable price, with menus starting at €10. For this first Parisian address, the restaurant takes up the color of the house, of course, but gives itself a refined, contemporary and modern setting to make you feel good.
