Sfacciata, that's the name of this new Italian restaurant in Paris , which smells of Italian cuisine from the cucina povera but with a very contemporary twist. Frederica, the young 27 year old chef, has what it takes to make your mouth water.
The restaurant Sfacciata, which means "cheeky" in Italian, is located a stone's throw from the Tuileries Gardens, 7 rue du 29 Juillet in the 1st arrondissement. As for the decoration, the place is inspired by theItaly of the 70s and 80s. This establishment on 2 floors, reveals a pretty bar at the entrance and a more hushed floor for beautiful evenings.
On the bar side, the spot offers a nice menu elaborated in collaboration with The Little Red Door: they propose us Italian classics revisited under a very retro angle with often vermouth .
On the menu, we discover :
After tasty cheese gougères as an aperitif, we let ourselves be tempted by the Beef Tartar with Bronte pistachios, zabaione and celery crackers, and by the Calimari with lemon clams, broccoli rabe, homemade focaccia and squid ink, a delight.
On the main course, we are seduced by the Cicatelle, fresh homemade hand-rolled pasta with vegetarian carbonara and artichoke. We also fall for the Rombo, turbot fillets in a Marsala reduced sauce, accompanied by vitelotte chips and baby fennel.
Finally, note that the desserts are not left out. They are as beautiful as they are good. Let yourself be tempted by the crispy Tuile en cylindre which contains a yogurt flavored with lavender, mandarin and hazelnut, the Crostata ricotta with red fruits which is a real painting in the plate and the excellent Babamisu with acidulous pears, rum of the islands and Sichuan pepper.
In short, here's what you need to enjoy in this new restaurant in Paris, whether you are a fan ofItalian or not.
