A large, half-sunny, half-shady terrace in the heart of Pigalle, a simple, affordable lunch menu, an address that's open non-stop from morning to night, ready to welcome gourmets at any time of day. A la bonne heure! You're here at Bonne Heure, a new address in the SoPi district that's already shaping up to be a local landmark.
Recognizable by its large corner terrace at the crossroads of several alleyways and its fir-green striped awnings, Bonne Heure has more outdoor than indoor seating, and that's original enough to warrant a mention. 50 places inside, 60 places outside, and just as many places to sit from breakfast to late dinner.
Open from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. in place of the late Dépanneur Terrasse, Bonne Heure is a place where you can grab a coffee before work, enjoy a bucolic lunch under the big tree, have a drink with friends or dine out at a local theater.
The owners, Matthieu Leroy and Gabriele Conte, who designed the carefully decorated address byDod Architecte, called on chef Florent Durand to create a menu that changes according to the time of day. For breakfast, the young chef offers two formulas, one at €6.50, the other at €8.50, with hot drink, pastries, juice and scrambled egg or fried egg, to get the day off to a good start.
At lunchtime, there's a choice of bistro-style dishes from the à la carte menu, but above all, unbeatable value for money: €18 starter/main course or main course/dessert, €23 starter/main course/dessert, to choose from the daily-changing slate. Honestly, it's hard to beat the quality/price ratio. All the more so as the dishes are well-crafted, downright tasty and served very generously.
At the time of our visit, there were: cream of asparagus (6€) with mint pea salad, pink garlic crumble and confit tomatoes; tomatoes and creamy burrata (7€) deceptively simple but truly delicious; gravlax trout (8€) with yuzu lemon chantilly and crispy herbs; or the garrigue-scented Bonne Heure burger (18€), with smoked mayonnaise, relish sauce, 18-month Comté and a good handful of home fries on the side.
In the evening, aperitifs continue on the Bonne Heure terrace with a menu of tapas-style small plates (beef tataki, grilled chorizo, hummus, etc.).) at affordable prices, to be washed down with a cocktail created by mixologist François Acquaviva, such as Le Baiser de Pigalle (Gin, Italicus, lemon, strawberry purée, prosecco, Perrier; €14), a good beer from Fauve Craft Bière or a glass of natural wine (from €6 a glass).
The last weekly event, the unmissable brunch which, for €27, includes a hot drink, a cold drink, a pastry, a savory plate (smoked trout, avocado & lemon cream toast; roasted Saint-Marcellin & honey violet mustard; or mimosa eggs & parmesan tuile) and a dessert (banana bread; fromage blanc & granola; fresh fruit; or chocolate mousse).
Bonne Heure is a great place to be any time of the day or night!
