Le Camondo, the restaurant just steps from the Parc Monceau, is about to write a new chapter. Fitz Group announces a majority takeover of this venue, housed in the courtyard of the Nissim de Camondo Museum, with a reopening slated for September 2026, after a summer transformation project.
The place holds a special spot in the fabric of the 8th arrondissement. Set in the former carriage house of a private mansion built in 1911 to house Moïse de Camondo’s 18th‑century art collection, the restaurant stands out for its singular architectural setting. Coffered ceilings, steel columns, a raw concrete floor inherited from the old garage, and a cobbled courtyard tucked away from the Parisian bustle define this place like no other.
For this new phase, Fitz Group entrusts the menu to Roudy Petersen, the group’s executive chef since October 2025. Trained under Guy Savoy and Pierre Gagnaire, the chef will present at the Camondo a French cuisine Mediterranean, rooted in the classics.
The transformation of the décor has been entrusted to the cabinet Lizée Hugot. The project aims to preserve the historic elements of the address while creating a more intimate atmosphere, with careful work on materials, lighting, bespoke furniture, and new vibes in the dining room. In the evening, the venue is also expected to take on a different tone with the arrival of a cocktail bar, designed to prolong the meals.
With this réouverture, Fitz Group presses on with its Paris growth, adding a sixth address after Fitzgerald, Abstinence, Vesper, Hollywood Savoy et La Fontaine Gaillon.
