Gourmet restaurant with views on the Eiffel Tower set on the very chic Avenue Montaigne, Maison Blanche sets up its winter garden, Val Montaigne, from February 10 to March 20, 2020.
In a nutshell, Val Montaigne is the highest ski resort in Paris where one can enjoy mulled wine on a chairlift… Yes, you can!
In concrete words, teaming up with champagne Veuve Cliquot brand, Maison Blanche terrace (featuring views on the Eiffel Tower) is turned for winter into a ski resort including fireplaces, sleighs, wood logs, furs and skis for the décor. A décor designed by Florence De Boissieu.
It’s a genuine mountain cabin that takes over the rooftop of the 15 Avenue Montaigne to make you travel. A place able to house about fifty people.
This winter terrace is open daily (excluding on Sundays) from 6:30 p.m. – after the pistes closed! – and provides you with winter-inspired cocktails and Veuve Clicquot champagne, as well as tapas created by chef Fabrice Giraud.
Of course, the covered Val Montaigne terrace is heated so much that you don't need a coat.
In addition to Veuve Clicquot champagnes, Val Montaigne is a place where you can sip homemade mulled wine spiced up with orange and original cocktails such as the "L'Aiguille Rouge", a nice mix of Chambord, raspberry, mango and champagne. A delight with fresh raspberries.
Moving on to food, in addition to the classic board of mountain cold cuts, here the smoked Savoy sausage is served with old-fashioned mustard, the tartiflette is revisited in a dish with bacon potatoes, homemade seared potatoes and cheese.
The pumpkin soup is a perfect match with the chestnut cream, the truffle pizzeta is crispy and the lemony polenta and marinated salmon will delight sour flavor fans.
Last but not least, for dessert, you have the traditional blueberry tartlets, generous in cream and fruits.
All you need to (almost) escape to the mountain – without leaving Paris – and even if you don’t go to winter sports.
Alcohol abuse is bad for your health, please drink responsibly.
