Strasbourg Saint-Denis is one of the capital's liveliest districts. A little higher up, on the Gare de l'Est side, the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul district is characterized by a more peaceful atmosphere - it has to be said that the Saint-Martin canal is just a stone's throw away! It takes its name from theSaint-Vincent-de-Paul church, a neoclassical basilica built in the 19ᵉ century built on Place Franz Liszt.
