Of course, the day we came, we decided to give a go to the 3 versions. First of all, the Bánh xèo, the famous crunchy Vietnamese pancakes with coconut and mung bean, available in two versions. The traditional version richly filled with soy, salad, pull pork and shrimps, to top with nuoc-mâm sauce, or the Beng Beng version filled with satay chicken or pipa tofu, pickled red cabbage, mint, Thai basil, peanuts and spicy sauce. They are wonderfully crunchy, we love it. And we highly recommend them!

Let us move on to the Chinese version: Jian Bing but Beng Beng style. Here is a soft pancake based on mung bean, rice and tapioca. This pancake is stuffed with nem nuóng (minced pork skewer) or satay chicken, whipped egg, raw veggies, pickled red cabbage, cilantro, shrimp and spicy sauce. The ideal version to takeout to eat while on the go.

Last version, the Roti Canai but Beng Beng style. This is a thicker pancake, based on flaky clarified butter wheat flour dough. It includes the same ingredients as the Jian Bing version. The pancake is the only thing that changes. More filling, this flaky pancake is perfect if you are very hungry.

We also loved the original homemade juices based on pandan, shiso or chrysanthemum, and we loved the Parisian flan but pandan style, the famous aromatic herb often found in Asian desserts.
