If you were a teen or a pre-teen in 2001, you may remember the song “Wherever You Will Go”, the biggest hit of The Calling released that very year. You haven’t seen The Calling live at that time and you still regret it? Well, no problem! Alex Band and his band will be live in Paris, at Les Etoiles on Saturday February 29, 2020.
We didn’t see it coming and in 2001, American pop rock band The Calling were releasing their first album, “Camino Palmero” that has been very critically acclaimed in the US and quietly went on its merry way in France. An album supported by the single “Wherever You Will Go”, this lovely and melancholic rock ballad and the video clips that kept on being on TV. Another single followed, “Adrienne”.
So far, “Wherever You Will Go” remains The Calling’s greatest hit and if we haven’t heard much about the band in France, they kept growing in the States before splitting up in 2005. After that singer Alex Band went solo. But in 2013, he recreated the band with new musicians.
Original fans, you don’t want to miss The Calling for their only show in Paris, on February 29 at Les Etoiles.
